    Anti slip finish for decking

Thanks for all the replies - we bit the bullet and bought some from slip doctors - expensive but hopefully worth it. I've used wire mesh in the past but it rusts eventually and you have to replace it, along with all the little staples that it's held down with. Wish I'd thought to look at...

    Anti slip finish for decking

As the title suggests, I'm looking for anti slip decking stain. All I've been able to find is the Cuprinol range, which has a range of colours, all of them sh1tty, in my opinion at least. Anyone know of an alternative? Clear would be good and if it had sand instead of "Microbeads", even better...

    Joke Thread 4

I'm imagining how much concrete was poured and how many diesel vehicles were involved in building that dirty power station, as well as how much fuel it will consume during its lifetime, every day of every month of every year until it's decommissioned. Then when I imagine the resources used to...

Think you're missing the point there... In your head, try replacing the smokestacks with wind turbines.

"You will get on with the decorating while I'm away, won't you?"

Hate to say it, but you may well have been better leaving that in spilt lengths and painting the ends until you get a lathe. I suspect it's all going to split too badly to be of much use in a month or two's time... Hope I'm wrong.

    Roofing. Galv sheeting replacing slates.

Builders or roofers? Not splitting hairs, they're different animals; and being a "professional" only means you get paid for what you do, not necessarily that you know how to do it. Also the roof above looks like it's man made slate, the same as the bit you want to replace, in which case the...

Royal Mail - complete ban on bladed items from 22nd April

Well at the moment, you'd struggle t send anything by RM - their website has been unusable since 10 this morning. The damned thing is useless, going down at least once a month on average. I'd be surprised if they survive the next 5 years.

    No More Chickens

Shame - we keep chooks and wouldn't be without them, what with the sales of eggs off the gate, they even pay for themselves, but you're right, it's just getting to be a PITA with the new legislation. Luckily, we're a bit more used to it than some, as we have to deal with the paperwork for cows...
