An acquaintance had 20 - 50 gallons of diesel stolen weekly. He gave up telling the police - despite photographic evidence and having the names and addresses of the scrotes they would do nothing.
Why? There's no reason to ban it, many people buy and sell perfectly legally. Why not ban boots sales altogether - you cannot know what is or isn't stolen.
SmartWater is easy to use, it's just a paint on liquid. The beauty is it only takes molecules to be traced, and it's easy to put it in places that cannot be cleaned or rubbed off. The are of course signs for your doors and windows to alert potential scrotes. Does it work? As Henry Ford said...
I very rarely see tools of any value at car boot sales here. I went to one in S. London 20+ years ago where there must have been £100.000's worth of quality tools - no way were they not stolen, and not a plod in sight.
"He said proof of ownership or purchase would be needed to claim any of the items."
How many of us coud do that? (All my stuff over about £20 is SmartWatered.)
The best (worst?) bridegrooms speech I heard - I'll now hand you over to my best man. In fact, I'd like to hand my wife over to my best man - he's been ******* her for the last six months, he's welcome to her. I'm off.
I went with Record tyres in the end. They were much cheaper than urethane and I didn't have to worry about the size. I know they probably won't last as long but they'll see me out.
I get very nearly all mine from https://www.saxtonblades.co.uk/tct-circular-saw-blades/
You can of course get better blades but not at the price. Jigsaw blades especially tend to get ruined before they get blunt, so spending a lot more makes little sense in most instances.
