    Saw Sharpening Service Recomendations

Just a quick update, I have collected my blades from 12-point Tools in Havent and they seem to have done a good job. The original profiles of the blades have been maintained and the blades are razor sharp. I have only tested one blade in anger but it cuts beutifully.

    Saw Sharpening Service Recomendations

Thanks Guys, I have tried a few blades with 12-Point tools in Havent. The guy really seemed to know what he was talking about and gave me confidence. I will report back when I see the results.

    Help please - blind needed?

You can get various films to cut down on the light. We have just had UV protection added to our windows to stop things fading. But the range was huge and included all kinds of tinta and properties.

I think you are right, Iroko was my first thought and my wifes. To be honest we both get like kids in a sweet shop when we visit Yandles (unfortunately her brother lives just around the corner so we are often there) and we forget what we have bought.

Thank you Fred, I will pass that on to her. The top one is Ash with a mahogany insert for pot pouri. We salvaged the mahogany from an old cupboard. I can't remember what the middle one is made from but the bottom one is from a Magnolia Grandiflora that was felled in our garden. (it was 3ft...

External "french door set" - off the peg recommendations?

I have bought from these people in the past https://www.doorsofdistinction.co.uk/home.html They are on my doorstep but do deliver nationally. They have a huge range and have been pretty good to talk to and get honest information. Their solid doors are glued up strips faced in veneer for...

    CNC for kitchen cabinets

Have you looked into CNC cutting services. I have found that by the time you have sourced quality sheet material they can be very competative. I found that sourcing some materials in small quantities near impossible as an individual, but easily ordered them cut and delivered in a few days.

    Saw Sharpening Service Recomendations

Thanks Wayne, I will have a look at them. The blades I have are all over £100 a piece so I have a little lee-way for sharpening.

These were made by my wife as a present for my father. She normally does wood tunring but wanted to try something different.

I also finally got around to making a fence for my router table. I used some aluminium extrusion given to me by a mate. Debinately a step up from the old piece of 4x2 and 2 clamps.

I made this for my son to his design. Not realy my thing but he was happy. Melamine faced birch ply. It was fun getting all the exposed edges to look good without chipping the malamine!
